THE EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE
Discover the diversity of Eastern Cape wildlife and hunting opportunities.
The Eastern Cape province is the second largest province in South Africa. This province has a
semi-desert interior which is known as the “Karoo”, while its coastline offers lush vegetation and
undulating terrain. The Eastern Cape offers a variety of unique species, namely Buffalo, Sable,
Mountain Reedbuck, and the Eastern Cape Kudu.
Through the efforts of national parks such as the Addo Elephant National Park, various game reserves and game concessions, the wilderness of the Eastern Cape province has been relatively restored to its former glory.
A variety of plains game species and dangerous game species are now available for trophy hunting in the Eastern Cape province – even the tiny Blue Duiker, along with the unique opportunity to hunt the Caracal (Lynx), with specially trained dogs.
